. . . where the 1970s live forever!

With the help of two great catches by Mike Anderson in right field, Tom Underwood was able to pitch the Phillies to a 4-0 victory over the Reds. The shutout was the second for the rookie lefthander. In the third inning, Anderson made a leaping catch against the wall to rob Joe Morgan of an apparent double.

Then in the fourth with the bases loaded and two out, Anderson raced into foul territory to grab a drive by Pete Rose. Anderson also helped Underwood with his bat, hitting a triple in the third and scoring the Phillies' first run on a single by Dave Cash. Greg Luzinski homered in the fourth. [The Sporting News]
