A double by Tim Hosley in the eighth inning drove in two runs and carried the Cubs to a 4-2 victory over the Astros. Both of the Astros' runs were unearned off Rick Reuschel, who allowed only three hits. The Cubs, who got one tainted tally off J.R. Richard in the fifth inning, tied the score at 2-2 with a homer by Rick Monday in the sixth. Jerry Morales walked in the eighth, Pete LaCock singled and both runners then scored on Hosley's double.
