. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Angel rookie Jerry Remy delivered a three-run homer, his first in the majors, to cap a five-run, fourth-inning rally which sparked California to a 12-5 victory over the Indians. The visitors also got a two-run homer off the bat of Leroy Stanton to highlight a three-run first and a solo shot by Tommy Harper which opened a three-run seventh.

Remy's blow came off Gaylord Perry, who relieved in the fourth with two Angels aboard and California leading, 5-3. Dick Lange, who relieved starter Andy Hassler during the Indians' three-run second, was tagged for two runs in the fourth, then shut out Cleveland the rest of the way. [The Sporting News]
