Larry Dierker pitched the Astros to their fourth consecutive triumph, shutting out the Phillies on six hits, 4-0. Batterymate Milt May iced the victory when he cleared the bases with a double off loser Wayne Twitchell in the fifth. Cesar Cedeno's sacrifice fly plated Houston's first run in the third inning and got the Astros started toward their sweep of the three-game series.
