Rico Petrocelli and Rick Burleson slammed three-run homers to support the five-hit pitching of Bill Lee as the Red Sox won over the Angels, 6-0, in a nationally televised game. Petrocelli's blast came in the second inning and followed walks to Dwight Evans and Tony Conigliaro. Burleson's followed a single by Petrocelli and walk to Juan Beniquez.
