Sparked by Dusty Baker, who hit homers his first two times at bat, the Braves gained a 5-2 victory to snap the Pirates' six-game winning streak. After Baker's blows in the second and fourth innings, the Braves added two runs in the seventh on a pass to Darrell Evans, two-out single by Phil Niekro, a wild pitch and single by Ralph Garr.
