Jerry Remy, who reached base four times on an error, two doubles and a single, scored three runs and drove in one to back up the five-hit pitching of Frank Tanana as the Angels defeated the Brewers, 5-2. After Remy was safe on a miscue by Robin Yount in the first inning, the Angels loaded the bases and Remy scored on a grounder by Tommy Harper.

Remy's first double drove in one of the Angels' two runs in the second. Following his second double, Remy scored in the fifth before wrapping up his night in the seventh when he beat out a bunt, took second on an infield out, stole third and came home on a wild throw by catcher Charlie Moore.
