While Fred Lynn was batting in 10 runs for the Red Sox in another A. L. game, the Orioles got a 10-RBI total from three players in trouncing the Indians, 13-6. Lee May drove in four runs, two with a double in the first inning and two with a homer in the second.

Tommy Davis, who collected four hits, and Paul Blair, who had two plus a sacrifice fly, each accounted for three RBIs. Ken Singleton contributed a homer to the Orioles' 19-hit attack. The Indians had homers by Buddy Bell and Boog Powell. [The Sporting News]
