. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A clutch relief performance by Tom House, who took over with the bases loaded and none out in the seventh inning. enabled the Braves to defeat the Giants, 4-2. With Dave May hitting a homer, the Braves took a 3-0 lead before the Giants rapped Phil Niekro for four straight singles, two runs crossing the plate on a hit by Dave Rader. Elias Sosa relieved and passed Glenn Adams. House then appeared and retired the next three batters without a run scoring. [The Sporting News]
