Joe Lahoud hit a run-scoring triple in the ninth inning for his third RBI of the game to bring the Angels a 7-6 victory over the Twins. The Angels built up a 6-0 lead with the aid of a two-run homer by Ellie Rodriguez and appeared to be cinch winners behind the pitching of Nolan Ryan, who allowed only four hits in the first six innings.

However, Ryan quickly lost his stuff and gave up three runs in the seventh and three more in the eighth before being removed. The Angels then won the game for reliever Mickey Scott when Winston Llenas singled and crossed the plate on Lahoud's triple in the ninth. [The Sporting News]
