Joe Coleman and John Hiller combined on a shutout and Ron LeFlore and Leon Roberts hit homers as the Tigers defeated the White Sox, 3-0, for their seventh straight victory. LeFlore hit his homer off Wilbur Wood in the fourth and then singled ahead of Roberts' rap in the eighth. [The Sporting News]
