Charlie Spikes, who had only 20 RBIs to his credit previously this season, batted in four runs with a homer and single to lead the Indians to a 6-4 victory over the Tigers. Spikes hit his homer with a man on base in the second inning. After manager Frank Robinson drove in a run with a single in the fifth for the 1,800th RBI of his career, Spikes sent two runs across with his single. [The Sporting News]
