With Cesar Geronimo providing three key hits, the Reds broke away in the last four innings to defeat the Giants, 6-3. Geronimo doubled in the sixth to spark a two-run rally that tied the score at 3-3. Then in the seventh, Dan Driessen walked, took second on a throwing error by Ed Halicki and scored the tie-breaking tally on a single by Geronimo.
