. . . where the 1970s live forever!

The Astros scored three runs in the seventh inning to defeat the Cubs, 4-1, and end a three-game losing streak. The winners snapped a 1-1 tie on Cliff Johnson's double, scoring Greg Gross, who had walked and stopped at third on a double by Cesar Cedeno. When Jose Cardenal bobbled Johnson's double, Cedeno also scored. Milt May singled off reliever Darold Knowles for the third run of the inning. [The Sporting News]
