The Phillies rallied with four runs in the seventh to turn back the Cardinals, 6-3. The winners used three walks, a wild pitch, fielder's choice, double by Greg Luzinski and single by Mike Schmidt to manufacture the decisive comeback. Lou Brock, Ted Sizemore and Willie Davis were credited with RBIs as the Cards scored all their runs in the fifth.
