Gary Nolan, who achieved a sensational comeback after two winless years with shoulder trouble, gained his 15th victory of the season when the Reds defeated the Braves, 12-5. The Braves jumped off to a 4-0 lead, but Nolan started himself on the road to victory by hitting a single to drive in two of the Reds' three runs in the second inning.
