Although collecting only five hits of Ed Figueroa, the Athletics made them count in gaining a 4-2 victory over the Angels. Two walks and a single by Billy Williams produced the initial run in the first inning. After the Angels went ahead, 2-1, in the fourth, the A's came back with a pair in their half on a double by Williams, a walk and singles by Joe Rudi and Bert Campaneris.
