The Reds, after scoring three unearned runs, came back with an error of their own to hand a 5-4 victory to the Expos. The Reds went ahead in the seventh, 4-2, with their tainted trio. In the eighth, the Expos began their rally with singles by Jim Dwyer, Mike Jorgensen and Larry Parrish to load the bases.
