The Braves, after scoring quickly in the first inning, got two more runs on a homer by Dave May in the sixth and defeated the Phillies, 3-2. Rowland Office tripled and Jerry Royster grounded out for the initial tally. May's decisive homer followed a single by Jim Wynn. Darrell Evans of the Braves walked in the eighth and set a modern N.
