Winning their fourth straight game, the Mets defeated the Braves, 6-5, when Bruce Boisclair hit a two-run, two-out double in the ninth inning. Dave Kingman, who had homered previously in the game, led off the rally with a single. With one away, Jerry Grote singled and with two out John Milner also singled to plate John Stearns, who ran for Kingman. Boisclair then hit his double to drive in the tying and winning runs.
