Aided by George Hendrick, who hit his first two homers of the season, the Indians defeated the Twins, 7-5. However, the Indians did not clinch their victory until the seventh inning when singles by Doug Howard and Duane Kuiper and a sacrifice fly by Rick Manning produced the final three runs.
