Lynn McGlothen, returning to action after serving a five-day suspension for a beanball incident, pitched the Cardinals to a 7-1 victory over the Giants. John D'Acquisto, making his first start for the Giants in nearly one year after undergoing arm surgery, beat himself with wildness, walking five batters in the second inning when the Cardinals scored four times on only two hits -- a double by Willie Crawford and single by Keith Hernandez.
