The Mets collected only one hit off Phil Niekro in the first 5 1/3 innings, but then got going with a walk to Felix Millan. Del Unser followed with a single. Ed Kranepool struck out, but Dave Kingman singled to drive in Unser for his 20th RBI of the season. The extra run then scored on an error. [The Sporting News]
