With one out in the 10th inning, Butch Wynegar and Dan Ford hit consecutive homers off Bill Laxton to carry the Twins to a 5-4 victory over the Tigers. The blows put the Twins ahead, 5-3, and the Tigers then fell short with one run in their half on two walks and a single by Gary Sutherland for his fourth hit of the game. [The Sporting News]
