Although Hank Aaron had a good day at bat for the Brewers, Toby Harrah came up with a better day to help the Rangers gain a 7-4 victory. Aaron hit his first homer of the season and 746th of his career, along with two singles. Harrah homered for the Rangers in the fourth inning and again in the fifth. Mike Hargrove also accounted for two RBIs with a single in the sixth when the Rangers scored four times to clinch the decision.
