Driving in seven runs between them, Dan Ford and Craig Kusick led the Twins to an 8-2 victory over the Tigers. Ford knocked in two runs with a bases-loaded single in the third inning and Kusick followed with a three-run homer. Ford then added two more tallies with a homer in the seventh.
