A leadoff homer by Pepe Mangual and bases-loaded triple by Larry Parrish started the Expos off to a 7-5 victory over the Giants. After Mangual's blow, the Expos loaded the bases on singles by Jerry White and Gary Carter, plus a pass to Pete Mackanin, setting the stage for Parrish's triple.
