The White Sox shaded Texas, 7-6, in 11 innings to end the Rangers' eight-game winning streak. Ralph Garr, who had delivered a two-run homer in the ninth, doubled to score Pat Kelly with the winning run in the 11th. Texas, trailing by three runs with two out in the ninth, used two walks, a hit batsman and singles by Bill Fahey and Juan Beniquez to send the game into extra innings. [The Sporting News]
