Continuing his heavy hitting against the Cardinals, Ron Cey rapped a single and double, driving in two runs, as the Dodgers completed a sweep of the three-game series with a 6-3 victory. In the three games, Cey had six hits in 13 at-bats, including three homers.

With the score tied, 3-3, Dusty Baker singled in the eighth inning, Steve Garvey walked and Cey doubled to drive in the deciding run. The Dodgers went on to add two insurance tallies on an error by Willie Crawford and sacrifice fly by Mike Marshall. [The Sporting News]
