For the second straight night, stand-in Bill Robinson powered the Pirates to victory, smashing a homer with two men on base in the ninth inning to beat the Cardinals, 4-1. Richie Hebner walked and Al Oliver singled, but Willie Stargell and Richie Zisk struck out before Robinson connected off Al Hrabosky. Robinson was playing in place of injured Dave Parker.
