A pinch-double by Tony Perez in the eighth inning drove in two runs and enabled the Reds to defeat the Giants, 5-4. Before Perez came through, the Reds scored twice on a double by Johnny Bench in the fourth and added a run on a single by Pete Rose in the fifth.
