. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Mark Belanger, who had been on a hot hitting streak, rapped a triple and single in four trips as the Orioles defeated the Brewers, 5-3. In the first inning, a single by Al Bumbry, Belanger's triple and an infield out by Reggie Jackson staked the Orioles to a 2-0 lead.

An additional run in the second and two in the third made it 5-0, but Mike Cuellar failed to take advantage of the lead and lasted only until the sixth when the veteran had to be lifted, marking the eighth straight time that he had been unable to last the route. Hank Aaron hit his second homer of the year for the Brewers and 747th of his career. [The Sporting News]
