After Mike Marshall failed to protect a 2-0 lead, the Dodgers put together two-out singles by Bill Buckner, Dusty Baker and Steve Garvey in the ninth inning to defeat the Braves, 3-2. Doug Rau, who started for the Dodgers, was removed for a pinch-hitter after six innings and Marshall then gave up the Braves' pair in the seventh. [The Sporting News]
