Ken Singleton's first A. L. grand slam with two outs in the ninth inning sent the Orioles to an 8-4 victory over the Tigers. The slam followed a single by Andres Mora and walks to Lee May and pinch-hitter Tommy Harper. Ron LeFlore extended his hitting streak to 24 consecutive games in the third when he doubled and scored on Alex Johnson's single. [The Sporting News]
