Manny Mota's sacrifice fly with the bases loaded in the 13th inning gave the Dodgers a 6-5 victory over the Astros. Joe Ferguson led off the 13th with a single. When Steve Yeager attempted to sacrifice, losing pitcher Paul Siebert threw wildly into center field. Bill Russell was walked intentionally and Mota followed with a fly to right.

Bob Watson accounted for the Astro runs with a three-run homer in the first and two-run shot in the fifth. The Dodgers tied the game in the seventh when Bill Buckner singled to kayo Gil Rondon before Dusty Baker singled and Steve Garvey hit an RBI double off Ken Forsch. [The Sporting News]
