Lyman Bostock's two-run triple in the sixth inning and the seven-hit pitching of Dave Goltz sent the Twins to a 5-3 victory over the Royals, who suffered just their fourth loss in 20 games. With two outs in the sixth, Craig Kusick and Bob Randall singled before Bostock tripled. Larry Hisle added an RBI single to cap the three-run burst. The final Twins' run came in the seventh on Danny Thompson's double and Bostock's single.
