The Expos scored two runs in the seventh inning to overcome the Mets, 5-4, in a Jacket Day game that attracted Jarry Park's largest crowd of the season, 22,861. After singles by Pepe Mangual and Jerry White, Andre Thornton produced the tying run with a sacrifice fly and Gary Carter ended an 0-for14 slump with a single to score the winning run.
