The Chisox ran their winning streak to seven straight with a doubleheader sweep over the A's, 3-1 and 4-3. The losses extended the A's losing skein to a club-record eight games. Pat Kelly's double in the seventh scored Jack Brohamer with the tie-breaking run in the opener. Clay Carroll picked up the win in relief of Terry Forster.
