. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Trailing, 3-1, the Yankees scored three runs in the last of the seventh to defeat the Indians, 4-3. After Graig Nettles tied the score with a two-run homer, Don Hood walked Rick Dempsey and Sandy Alomar, running for Dempsey, stole second, setting the stage for Oscar Gamble's game-winning pinch-single. A two-run homer by Boog Powell and solo clout by Alan Ashby, at the expense of Catfish Hunter, had given the Tribe the lead in the top of the seventh. [The Sporting News]
