Dave LaRoche's strong relief pitching and pinch-hitter Boog Powell's single in the seventh gave the Indians 5-3 win over the Yankees. LaRoche earned his fourth save after rescuing Jim Bibby in the seventh and pitching out of a bases-loaded, none-out situation. Rico Carty's two-run single gave the Indians a 3-0 lead in the fourth, but the Yanks tied it on Mickey Rivers' two-run homer in the fifth. [The Sporting News]
