The Yankees capitalized on three wild pitches, a passed ball and three stolen bases to defeat the Red Sox, 8-3, before a crowd of 35,939, the largest at Fenway Park in 20 years. Thurman Munson hit his seventh homer and drove in another run with a sacrifice fly as Catfish Hunter went the route for the ninth time in 12 starts. [The Sporting News]
