Jerry Morales drove in three runs and Jose Cardenal collected four straight hits as the Cubs defeated the Astros, 5-2. The Cubs settled matters in the first inning with three runs on a single by Rick Monday, balk by Joaquin Andujar, single by Cardenal and homer by Morales.
