Gary Roenicke hit his first major league homer for the Expos' run in the third inning. After Tito Fuentes drove in the tying tally with a double in the fifth, Dave Winfield doubled in the next stanza, advanced on an infield out and scored the winning run on a sacrifice fly by Gene Locklear.
