The Indians, who failed to hold 3-0 and 5-4 leads, pushed over a run in the ninth inning and defeated the Orioles, 6-5. Charlie Spikes homered for the Indians and Reggie Jackson for the Orioles, who tied the score in the seventh on a run-scoring single by Dave Duncan.
