The first grand-slam homer in Bob Boone's career climaxed a six-run outburst in the fourth inning and powered the Phillies to a 6-2 victory over the Cardinals. A single by Dave Cash, walk to Mike Schmidt and single by Dick Allen produced the first run and Jay Johnstone hit a ground-rule double for another tally.
