Reggie Smith and Steve Yeager each tripled in the inning when the Dodgers scored all their runs to defeat the Phillies, 5-1. Singles by Bill Buckner and Steve Garvey, plus a sacrifice fly by Ron Cey, accounted for the first run. Smith drove in the second with his triple and came home himself on a single by Bill Russell.
