Toby Harrah singled with two out in the 11th, scoring Gene Clines from second base as the Rangers defeated the Red Sox, 4-3, and spoiled the managerial debut of Don Zimmer. Clines had singled and advanced to second on Mike Hargrove's sacrifice. Zimmer became the Bosox pilot when Darrell Johnson was fired earlier in the day. [The Sporting News]
