Charlie Spikes drove in three runs with a pair of singles in support of Rick Waits, who pitched the Indians to a 6-2 victory over the Angels. After the Angels scored their runs in the third inning, the Indians picked up one in their half and went ahead to stay when Boog Powell walked, Buddy Bell doubled and Spikes drove them both home with a single in the fourth inning.
