The Reds were shut out for only the third time in 100 games this season when they collected only five hits and lost to the Giants, 7-0. John D'Acquisto pitched the first 6 1/3 innings for the Giants before leaving the game with a blistered thumb and Gary Lavelle completed the whitewashing.
