Ed Armbrister, making a rare appearance as a starter in the Reds' outfield, smashed his first two homers of the season, plus two singles, to lead a 19-hit attack in a 12-1 walloping of the Padres. Dave Concepcion shared batting honors with Armbrister, also rapping four hits. Fred Norman limited the Padres to four hits in gaining his 10th victory. [The Sporting News]
